How do I book an appointment with North of Blush? We offer a few simple ways to book with us. If you know the service you'd like, you can book an appointment directly through our online scheduling system. What is a Bridal trial and when should I book it? A trial is a makeup and hair consultation where we discuss your desired looks, complete a full makeup application and hairstyling preview, and create a face chart for your wedding day. We recommend booking your trial at least three months before your wedding day to allow for any skin prep or adjustments and to finalize your bridal beauty timeline. If you are doing a trial for both makeup and hair, it generally takes two hours.

On the Wedding Day

Will my makeup last all day? Yes! We use high-end, professional brands that are sweat, water, and tear-proof to ensure your makeup looks flawless from morning until night.

How should I and my wedding party prepare? For makeup, please have a clean, moisturized, and exfoliated face. For hair, it's best to have it washed and dried the night before, unless your hair is fine and tends to get greasy—in that case, wash it in the morning. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time and wear a button-down shirt to avoid smudging your hair and makeup when you change.

What kind of setup do you need? The best setup is a space with good natural light (ideally a window) and a table for our tools. A bar-height stool is great for makeup, and a regular chair is perfect for hair

Do you provide a touch-up kit? A complimentary touch-up kit is provided to every bride to ensure her wedding day makeup stays flawless and fresh. Bridal party members can also purchase their own touch-up kits, which make for a perfect bridesmaid gift.

General Services

What services do you offer? We offer a full range of on-site makeup and hairstyling services for weddings, bridal parties, and special events in the Calgary area. This includes natural glam makeup, full glam, and hairstyling such as updos, half-up half-down styles, and curls/waves. Our services also include bridal trials and day-of makeup and hair. False lashes are included with every makeup application to complete the look.

Where are you located and what areas do you serve? We are a mobile makeup agency based in Calgary, AB, and we serve clients throughout Calgary and the surrounding areas, including Canmore, Banff, and Lake Louise. We are also available for custom travel requests. Please note that a travel fee applies to any location outside of Calgary city limits.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy? Your appointment is very important to us and is reserved especially for you. We understand that schedule adjustments are sometimes necessary; therefore, we respectfully require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests.

• Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice: A cancellation fee of 30% of the scheduled service price will be charged.

• "No-Shows": Clients who fail to show up for their appointment without any notice will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price.

How do you ensure cleanliness? As a beauty professional with a nursing background, hygiene is our top priority. All tools and equipment are thoroughly sanitized and disinfected before every single appointment for a safe and clean application. All products are sanitized with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol before, during and after appointments. Brushes are cleaned with Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner or Sephora Collection's Daily Brush Cleaner and deep cleaned with Beauty Blender's Liquid Blendercleanser

What Products do you use? We have carefully curated our kit with only the best high-end, photo-friendly, and long-wearing products from top professional brands, including those found at Sephora, to ensure a flawless finish and all-day comfort. Your safety is our top priority, so if you have any allergies or sensitivities, please let us know when you book your appointment. We are happy to use your own personal products, but we cannot guarantee the same long-wearing results. Please note that we do not offer airbrush makeup at this time, as our expertise is focused on traditional makeup applications, which we've perfected to provide a beautiful, flawless finish.

What should I do to prepare my skin before the appointment? For a smooth and long-lasting application, please arrive with a clean face that is free of any long-wear makeup, or SPF. We recommend gently exfoliating the night before and hydrating your skin prior to your appointment. It's also very helpful to have any inspiration photos or Pinterest boards ready to share your vision with your artist.

Can you accommodate large groups? Yes, we regularly work with large bridal parties and group bookings of all sizes. As a mobile makeup agency, we have a team of skilled artists ready to provide seamless on-site makeup and hair services for your wedding, special event, or photoshoot. To ensure we can secure the right number of artists for your party, we recommend booking well in advance
