How do I book an appointment with North of Blush?
You can book with us directly through our online scheduling system. If you have questions or need help deciding on a service, please fill out our contact form or call us at (825) 365-7980.
What is a Bridal trial and when should I book it?
A bridal trial is a two-hour makeup and hair consultation where we create your desired wedding day look. We'll do a full makeup and hair preview and make a face chart for the day of. We recommend booking your trial at least three months before your wedding.
Will my makeup last all day?
Yes! We use high-end, professional brands that are sweat, water, and tear-proof to ensure your makeup looks flawless from morning until night.
How should I and my wedding party prepare?
For makeup, please have a clean, moisturized, and exfoliated face. For hair, it's best to have it washed and dried the night before, unless your hair is fine and tends to get greasy—in that case, wash it in the morning. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time and wear a button-down shirt to avoid smudging your hair and makeup when you change.
What services do you offer?
We offer a full range of on-site makeup and hairstyling services for weddings, bridal parties, and special events in the Calgary area. This includes natural glam makeup, full glam, and hairstyling such as updos, half-up half-down styles, and curls/waves. Our services also include bridal trials and day-of makeup and hair. False lashes are included with every makeup application to complete the look.
Where are you located and what areas do you serve?
We are a mobile makeup agency based in Calgary, AB, and we serve clients throughout Calgary and the surrounding areas, including Canmore, Banff, and Lake Louise. We are also available for custom travel requests. Please note that a travel fee applies to any location outside of the Calgary metropolitan area.
What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
Your appointment is very important to us and is reserved especially for you. We understand that schedule adjustments are sometimes necessary; therefore, we respectfully require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice: A cancellation fee of 30% of the scheduled service price will be charged.
"No-Shows": Clients who fail to show up for their appointment without any notice will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price.
What Products do you use?
We use a carefully curated kit of high-end, photo-friendly, and long-wearing products from professional brands, including those found at Sephora. Please inform us of any allergies. We can use your personal products, but can't guarantee the same long-wearing results.
What should I do to prepare my skin before the appointment?
Please arrive with a clean face, free of makeup or SPF. We recommend exfoliating the night before and hydrating your skin. Also, have any inspiration photos ready to show your artist.
Can you accommodate large groups?
Yes, we regularly accommodate large groups. As a mobile makeup and hair agency, we have a team of skilled artists to provide mobile services. We recommend booking in advance to ensure we can secure the right number of artists for your party.
